The Standard Size

Selecting between bar stools styles such as traditional, modern or retro is an enjoyable part of the decorating process. Be sure to consider bar stools height, too. The 30" bar stool is the standard height bar stool. The 30 inch bar stool is the most comfortable sitting height for most people of average height, especially provided that the bar stools have a foot rest bar. The 30 inch bar stools are also considered the standard because many kitchen bars or counters are in the 40" to 44" height range, and therefore the 30" bar stool is a comfortable fit with a standard size kitchen bar or counter. Remember to choose a bar stool based on bar table or counter height, and allow 10" to 13" between the bar stool seat and the bottom of the counter or table.
