About Richardson Seating Bar Stools and Chairs
Richardson Seating Corporation of Chicago has been crafting fine quality, commercial-grade bar stools, dining chairs and dining accessories since 1975. However, the company has actually been around since long before 1975. After the end of WWII, Richardson Seating's founder, Harry Richardson, returned from active duty to his hometown of Chicago. Around 1950, Harry decided to start a furniture manufacturing company, producing those beautiful chrome bar stools we now fondly call "retro" bar stools. Harry recruited his brother, Rueben, and his father in forming the family's first bar stool and chair manufacturing company, producing glittery vinyl and chrome dinette sets, bar stools, dining chairs and accessories. Planning to retire, Harry sold his company in 1973, and that company is still successful in business today. Harry, not being satisfied with retirement, decided to start a new commercial furniture company with his son-in-law, Earl Lichtenstein. This new company started in 1975 is the Richardson Seating Corporation of Chicago that currently produces the highest of quality bar stools and diner chairs which are found in restaurants, hotels, lounges and homes worldwide. Fans of the quality work of Richardson Seating Corporation may call many of the designs "retro", but it is a craft that has been continued and perfected since the "originals" were made. Bar stools and dining chairs handcrafted by Richardson Seating Corporation are made to stand the test of time, so the purchase made today will provide the retro bar stools and dining chairs for the next generation.
